Since November the citizens of Germany should confirm the level of income.

Simple tourists should bring a bank statement or proof of foreign currency purchase. Business travelers have to provide to the Russian Embassy statement of the employer, an income statement, official information about the company. If German goes to Russia on a business trip, he/she needs official confirmation.

Tightening of the visa regime was in response to German demands for Russian citizens to present similar documents. As stated on the official website of the Russian Consulate in Germany, changes in visa requirements related to the principle of "reciprocity".

For travel agencies in terms of paperwork did not change: the questionnaire and a list of documents remain the same. However, the Russian Consulate for issuing Russian visas for German tourists will now ask the bank statement and proof of employment.

"For business travelers the new conditions is unlikely that anything will change - says the executive director of "Reisebuero Welt! Larissa Zazulina. - With regard to ordinary travelers, the visa formalities were never a fact that encourages the desire to go to Russia. However, with some countries, Russia has no visa complex relationship, but the flow of tourists from these states in our country is not growing. The Germans tourists have always been one of the most active travelers".
