Grand opening of new tourist route "The path of Siberian hunter" took place in Ergaki nature park (Krasnoyarsk region) under the aegis of WWF's programm "Protected territories for Live planet".
Workers of the nature park, journalists form Abakan and Krasnoyarsk and a delegation from Austrian nature reserve became the first visitors of this tour. Their tour leader, Vyacheslav Melder, a professional hunter and a developper of the project organized a 1,5 km walk along the path. They were shown different hunting gears, traces of wild animals, were told about life and craft of Siberian forest hunters. The tour finished at a real hunter's log house.
Kristian Baumgartner, president of international association "Nature's friends" (Austria), said: "We all expected good excursion, but the real impression overcame all our darest expectations. We say many thanks to Ergaki park!".
"Hunter's path" project is intended to contribute into the developping of ecological tourism on the territory of the park and demonstration of wild nature and hunting craft being able to coexist together.
