The folk group “Tyva” of the Tuvan Government Philharmonic Society came back from Portugal. The musitians took part in the seventh festival “Slavic Spring - 2011”.

“Slavic Spring” is an annual event that takes place in different countries of Europe. Many other companies of performers from different regions of Russia like choirs “Vivat!” and “Portes” from Moscow and Obninsk, dance groups “Zori Tumeni” and “Rossiyanka”  took part in “Slavic Spring – 2011”.

The folk group “Tyva” travelled around Portugal and gave conserts in many cities of the country like Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra. The Portuguese got acquainted with various multinational arts of Russia including the unique guttural Tuvan singing which they never heard before. Every performance of Tuvan singers were accompanied with “Bravo!” exclamations and storm of applause.
