The Interregional youth tourist festival "Altai - a paradise for tourists" started on July 7 in Charyshsky district of the region. The event has three blocks - sport, regional and tourist.

The press service of Altai region education department announced that on July 9 there will be organized Siberian championship of sport tourism and water tourism technique championship. On July 11 there will be Rafting championship. The participants came from Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Tomsk, Altai republic, Novosibirsk, Altai region and Kazakhstan republic.

A tourist camp "The crossroads of the epochs" will be organized during the second block of the festival. The program of the camp includes trekking, theme excursions, visiting nature and archaeological monuments, action training, rafting on Charysh river, trekking, water, auto and cycling tourism championship, an ecological hike "The clean rivers of Altai".

The main block of the festival will take place on July 17-19 in Charyshskoe village. The program is rich for events.
