The opening ceremony was attended by Governor of Novosibirsk region Vasily Yurchenko, Novosibirsk Mayor Vladimir Gorodetsky and managing director of investing company London & Regional Properties, David Geovanis. Building of DoubleTree by Hilton hotel with class A business center was began in 2006. The summer 2008 British investment fund London & Regional Properties declared on entering the hotel in operation at the end of that year, but the opening was postponed.

Area of the hotel is 10 thousand square meters. Its capacity is 188 rooms including 171 standard and presidential one. Office area is 12 thousand square meters. At last, the eighth floor there are rooms for spa therapy and fitness club. The hotel has a restaurant, bar and three meeting rooms that can take 250 people. The cost of hotel construction has exceeded $ 60 million.

According to Geovanis, Hilton plans to open another hotel under its control in Novosibirsk- three-star Hampton by Hilton in the central part of city as well. Currently, he said, several sites are considered. It is assumed that this facility will cost $ 30 million. In Novosibirsk, currently operating 49 hotels with 3,619 rooms, aimed at different income levels of clients - from triples to suites.
