The technical plunge of deep-water devices "Mir-1" and "Mir-2" is finished near Listvyanka village on Baikal lake. Everything is ready for the seconds season of searching Baikal deep waters which starts on the 15^th of June. Deep water devices spent a winter in warm hangars of Irkutsk air plant and were transported to the lake in the beginning of June.

During summer 2008 "Mir" devices plunged 52 times to the bottom of Baikal, took samples of the ground, organic substances and microorganisms. The scientists of Russia, Belgium, Japan and the USA took part in the expeditions.
