This summer journalists of Tuva Republic were lucky to meet a living treasure of Tuva,  a snow leopard. Within 21-23 of July WWF set a press-tour for the journalists of  the TV channels ‘Tuva’ and ‘New Century’ and the newspaper ‘Plus Inform’ to the expedition camp as an act of an ambitious project ‘Tos Ertine’ – ‘Nine jewels’

The journalists spent three days in Mogun – Tayginsky District, to experience personally life and survival of snow leopards in places that used to be their hunting areas and now are inhabited by humans.

They learnt how poachers catch little snow leopards to sell them to private zoos. How due to being pushed away by the reduction of food zones the ounce has to attack domestic animals which makes it an enemy of local farmers.
