The BBC channel has begun to broadcast a film about Richard Feynman's, Nobel laureat in physics, daughter's visit to Tyva this summer.
In 70-ies Feynman and his friend Ralph Leyton, a teacher of maths being very strong fans of Tuva, eagerly wanted to get to Tuva. They wrote letters to Intourist organization, to Science Academy of USSR, sent messages to Tuvan addresses found in encyclopaedias, creating their texts using Tuvan-Mongolian-Russian phrasebook, with only one request - to help them to get to Tuva.
They recieved only formal replies recieving no help.
Two friends organised a society "Friends of Tuva" in America, celebrated national holidays and made virtual excursions along streets of Kyzyl and Chadan.
Feynman couldn't get to Tuva, he died in 1988. His daughter iplemented his desired adventure. And his friend Leyton wrote a book "Tuva or bust!" about his and Richard's adventures.
