“Russian Railways” and Google started up a joint project called “A virtual trip Moscow – Vladivostok”, informs the official web-site of Google. The way from Moscow to the place of destination was shot through the window only at daytime. It’s about 150 hours of video. Internet users virtually go by train Moscow – Vladivostok (9300 km) and a screen of the computer is a window of a compartment for them. You can start or continue the way from any point of the route, so that the landscapes around you will correspond to reality. The key points are collected by authors in special section “What to watch?” You can watch there the clouds above the Barabinskaya steppe, a water tower in modern style in Zykovo Village and many other unusual “railway” landscapes. The project makes a provision for stopping places in Ulan-Ude, Irkutsk, Slyudanka and others, where you can admire the surroundings.
The video is accompanied with rumble of wheels by default. At any moment you can replace this sound to audio books “War and peace”, “Dead souls”, “Golden calf”, musical compositions or music on radio.
