"The Road of Nomads of the XXI century" tour is an offer for those who are willing to see Siberia and are not willing to sacrifice their comfort. We have combined a number of unique places, pristine nature and accommodation in 4-5 star hotels. During this trip you will see the largest city of Siberia - Krasnoyarsk, you will visit archeological treasures of Republic of Khakassia and admire the inimitable Republic of Tuva.

Day 1. Krasnoyarsk

Your acquaintance with Krasnoyarsk begins with a visit of the main city symbol - the Paraskeva Pyatnitsa Chapel. Day 2. The legendary "Krasnoyarsk Stolby"

This day you are going to take a walk along the taiga trails of the well-known the Reserve Stolby!

The shape of each pillar is so unique that almost every pillar has its own name - Ded (Grandfather), Pervy (The First) Pillar, Perya (Feathers) (the most famous rocks of the Stolby), Takmak, Slonik (Elephant), Pervenets (The First Born), Predplechie (Forearm), Lviniye Vorota (Lion's Gate), Kapella, Manskaya Baba, Krepost (Fortress) and others. The Stolby tourist and excursion area covers almost 1,500 hectares.

Locals consider the pillars to have a strong energy and to be a place of power. The hiking part of the tour through the park is 3 kilometres.

After lunch you will visit the Vasily Surikov Museum Estate.

Day 3. Valley of the Kings of Khakassia

This day you will say goodbye to Krasnoyarsk and start heading south via the city of Divnogorsk. Along the way you will observe one of the world's greatest dams - Krasnoyarskaya Hydroelectric Power Station.

On arriving in the Republic of Khakassia you will visit the the Siberian Valley of the Kings. It is a location with more than 50 large burial mounds, where the Tagar chieftains are buried.

The highlight of the excursion is the Great Salbyk barrow. It is a 30-metre-high ground-stone mounds - the burial place of one of the mightiest Dinlin kings and his family members. The monument testifies to the might and wealth of the Tagar state ( 4th century B.C.). Around each barrow is characterised by the presence of powerful vertical slabs of stone fence. The Great Salbyk barrow has slabs weighing from 20 to 60 tones. Day 5. Sayano-Shushenskaya hydroelectric power station

After the breakfast we depart to Minusinsk.

Arriving to Shushenskoye village, check-in to the New Village. This night you stay in the Shushenskoye Heritage Museum, where you will observe the customs and traditions of the Siberian village of the late 19th century. The manors of the hotel complex are recreated with preservation of cultural styles of the Angara region and the south of the Krasnoyarsk Region. Day 6. Mystical Tuva

After breakfast you will have an excursion to the Shushenskoye Heritage Museum.

The history of the museum is closely connected with Vladimir Lenin, who was exiled to Shushenskoye in 1897-1900. You will visit a real Siberian rural village at the turn of the 19th - 20th centuries. This piece of antiquity is located on the bank of the Shush River, nearby its inflowing into the Yenisei River.

Numerous monuments of rural architecture are situated on a 7 hectare area: farmhouses, a trading store, a prison, a pub, in total about 200 wooden buildings. The atmosphere of this amazing place is breathtaking even for those who are hardened sceptics. You will visit a tavern, a real merchant's shop and observe the craftsmanship of the craftsmen.

After lunch you will travel through the mountains of the Western Sayan to the Republic of Tuva, observing fascinating landscapes along the way. You will meet the master of these places - Sleeping Sayan. If you look closely, you can see Him in the outlines of the mountains: He is lying on his back with His hands folded on His chest. The road to Tuva takes us along the famous Ergaki Nature Park.

Towards evening we arrive in the Republic of Tuva. Amazingly, as soon as the car crosses the border of the republic, even the landscape dramatically changes. It seems that you get to other world and other time. Most of the territory of Tuva is almost devoid of any evidence of modern civilisation, steppes stretching for hundreds of kilometres, punctuated by mountains with sharp ridges.

Day 7. Buddhist Monastery "Thubten Shedrub Ling"

This day you will have a tour of Kyzyl, the capital of the Republic of Tuva.

You will visit the geographical center of Asia, which is symbolically located at the confluence of two rivers - the Biy-Khem (Bolshoy Yenisei) and the Kaa-Khem (Malyy Yenisei). The well-known Great Yenisei, which crosses the whole Siberia from south to north, flows further on.

Day 8. Collection "Gold of the Scythians"

This day your discovery of Tuva continues.

You will visit the National Museum of Tuva (an exhibition Scythian Gold). The excursion is dedicated to the famous Arjaan-2 barrow, excavated in 2000-2003 by Hermitage Museum specialists in cooperation with the German Archaeological Institute. The treasures found in the barroiw (over 20 kg of gold items in total) became a real sensation in the archaeological world.

In the evening you will see the fascinating spectacle of a shaman's kamlaniye. This is a ritual of communication between a shaman and spirits by the fire, accompanied by drawn-out sounds and drum beats* (for an extra fee).

After the lunch you will enjoy a performance of traditional Tuvan throat singing called Khoomei. Throat singing is a fantastic skill of Tuvinians and some other nationalities of Siberia to produce two or three musical sounds of different heights simultaneously and at the same time to pull them for 25-30 seconds without taking a breath. If you listen with your eyes closed, you cannot believe that these sounds are made by a human and not by a musical instrument.

In the evening you will see the mesmerising spectacle of a shaman's kamlanie. This is a ceremony of communication between the shaman and the spirits by the fire, accompanied by extended sounds and beating of a tambourine.

When reserving a tour, 30% payment upfront is required, a contract has to be signed. The rest 70% of the payment should be covered in not less than 20 days before the beginning of the tour. In case one makes the reservation in 45 days before the tour one needs to cover 100% of the tour price when making the final confirmation. Payment can be both cash and bank transfer (to the tour operator's bank account.

By plane. Dmitry Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk International Airport accepts planes from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Norilsk, Barnaul, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg and many other cities. You can fly to Krasnoyarsk on Aeroflot, S7, UTair, Nordstar and other airlines. More information can be found at www.kja.aero. The airport is located in the Yemelyanovo village, 40 kilometres from Krasnoyarsk.

MEETING AND SEEING OFF

Private transfers are possible for an extra fee.

In case of booking private transfers for seeing off for tourists travelling to the railway station, the transport is provided 60 minutes in advance of the train departure, to the airport - 3 hours in advance.

HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT ON OWN

You can get from the airport to the Krasnoyarsk bus station by regular buses (the price is about 1,6 euros). Boarding/disembarkation of passengers at the airport is carried out at a special bus stop located at the station square, 50 metres from Terminal 1. The phone number of the information desk is +7 (391) 220-11-72.

Once you get to the bus station, you can take shuttle buses No. 6, No. 9, No. 50 and get to the Opera and Ballet Theatre bus stop. Then walk to the Ibis Hotel (400 metres).

PARTICIPATION IN THE TOUR

Children under 12 years old are not recommended to take part in the tour, due to the intensity of the excursion programme and long drives of 400-600 km per day. But the final decision is up to the parents. If you believe that your child is emotionally and physically ready for such a journey, the tour operator will not object.

Moreover, we do not recommend people with high blood pressure to take part in the tour, due to the high altitude difference on the route. A particularly dangerous part of the route is the Sayan Pass (2214 m), in an hour the group will again descend to an altitude of 1200 m.

WEATHER

The climate in Tuva and Khakassia is sharply continental, summers are dry, the air temperature in summer is up to + 40 C. There are almost as many sunny days as in the Crimea. In the steppe summer lasts from the second half of May to the middle of September, in the mountainous areas - from the middle of June to the end of August. July is the hottest month (average daily temperature in the steppe is about 20 C).

The Indian summer comes in the second half of September, and is usually quite lasting.

Each summer month in Krasnoyarsk region is pleasant and colourful in its own way, so the choice depends only on the month that seems the best to you.

n It's very beautiful in May, as the greenery is still fresh, everything is in blossom, at the same time you can see snow high up in the mountains. It's warm during the day, but rather cool in the evening.

n In June everything is in blossom as well, and every week you can various colors of nature. Stable weather is characteristic of this period of time.

n July is the hottest month, but sometimes there might rain for a week. The weather is stable and it's warm in the day time and at night. At the end of the month the steppe starts getting dry.

n The first half of August is warm, but later it starts getting colder. Nights get colder. At the end of the month there is a change of colors in nature surroundings: leaves get red and yellow. At this time of the year there is a great many of mushrooms and berries.

n September is rich with a diversity of nature colors, red, yellow, and green colors prevail. Usually, the first half of the month is warm but nights are cold. During the second half of September it can be rainy, the temperature can drop to +5C.
