By plane

The international airport Barnaul (BAX) offers flights to/from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tomsk and Krasnoyarsk. The flights are operated by "Aeroflot", "Ural Airlines", "KrasAvia".

By train

You can get to Barnaul by Transsiberian trains from Moscow, St Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Novokuznetsk, Krasnoyarsk.

By public bus

There are regular public buses from Novosibirsk (230 km), Tomsk (500 km), Kemerovo (430 km), Novokuznetsk (420 km), Krasnoyarsk (950 km). The bus terminal in Barnaul is located in the city center (Pobeda Square, 12a) very close to the railway station.

By private car

The famous road M-52 starts in Novosibirsk, it's 230 km from Barnaul, and goes straight to the border with Mongolia via Barnaul, Biysk and Gorno-Altaysk.
