After BBC’s presentation of documentaries about Baikal Russian adventure channel “Vokrug sveta” is shooting new series of films about this lake.

The filming being sometimes interrupted by strong storms took place at Ulan-Ude and Irkutsk cities, famous islands, Baikal seal rookeries, remote Russian old-believers’ settlements’, Buddhist temples of Buryatia.

During the period of shooting the producing team were living in a floating hotel and took stones from the Baikal shore as souvenirs.

The TV-premiere is planned on September or October. The Film will be translated for foreign broadcasting by December.
