Its main function will be to provide background information about Russian capital and support in emergency situations.

Visitors can get information about attractions, location of streets, the schedule of public transport, cafes and restaurants, weather forecast, local time, currency rates, addresses of day-night exchanges and ATMs.

In addition, the center staff will assist visitors in emergency situations, provide guests with communications with embassies, Customs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as security agencies, will provide advice on medical emergencies, give addresses of specialized hospitals, clinics, medical centers, teach visitors how to behave in cases of fraud and extortion. In emergency situation, in case of terrorist threat, there will be a hotline operating on the basis of call-center.

The call-center is available around the clock. Center’s staff is fluent in English, Russian (soon other languages will be available) and they will serve at least 750 calls at the same time. Telephone numbers of the new call-center are: 8-800-220-00-01 and 8-800-220-00-02.
