The representatives of Taimyr are going to carry out a master class on curving. They are supposed to use mammoth’s bones during the session. The class will take place at international exhibition in Moscow from April, 15^th -19^th, which is called “Northern civilization. Treasures of the North 2010”

Not only bone carvers are going to take part at the exhibition, but also specialists on traditional rites and national culture of Taimyr peoples and of course ethnographers. The stand will be designed by these specialists, where people will have an opportunity to observe an exposition “Krasnoyarsk Region. Dolgan-Nenets Autonomous Okrug” containing items of decorative and applied arts, exhibits from Regional Museum as well as souvenirs.

In the framework of the exhibition it is planned to inform visitors about the traditions and customs, national singing and dances of Taimyr and even playing the drums.

Besides, you’ll have a chance to taste dishes of traditional cuisine of Taimyr.
